EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint member to the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory
Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory
Committee to fill a vacant term expiring on December 31, 2017.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5 member committee was created by Ord. No. 78-49 to advise the
Board of County Commissioners on the budget and operation of the Isles of Capri Fire Control
District. Members must reside within the boundaries of the Isle of Capri Municipal Fire Services
Taxing District. Terms are 2 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There is one vacancy on this committee. The vacancy was advertised and applications were

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its September 10, 2015 meeting the committee
voted that Jerilyn Neuhaus be recommended for appointment to fill the vacant seat expiring on
December 31, 2017. A recommendation memo is included in the backup to this item.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
appointment.
