Commissioners recognize an organization that has enhanced the community through financial,
volunteer and active involvement in organizations and programs that assist in creating a better
quality of life for all citizens in Collier County.
The honoree is presented with a commemorative plaque at the Board of County
Commissioners meeting. A photo and news release is distributed to all Southwest Florida
media and Chamber members, as well as featured in Business CurrentsTm Magazine, the
Chamber's website, and promoted through social media.

community, Stock Development focuses its efforts on specific causes including education, children,
health and humanity. Over the years, Stock Development and its associates have donated to a variety of
worthy organizations, among them The Boys & Girls Club, Golisano Children's Hospital, FGCU,
Hurricane Charlie Relief Efforts, Builders Care, Champions For Learning and Habitat for
Humanity.More than a decade ago, the company organized and built several Kids Klub Houses. These
homes were designed to raise a large sum of money for the local chapter of the Boys & Girls Club and
the Lee Building Industry Association by building a single - family home in a country club community
with donated labor and materials. The proceeds from the sales would make up the charitable donation.
Each of these endeavors was wildly successful and ultimately generated hundreds of thousands of
dollars for the Boys & Girls Club and the LBIA's scholarship programs.The Hurricane Charley Relief
Effort in Punta Gorda was a spontaneous response to a devastating situation in which Stock
Development held a unique position to lend assistance from its Punta Gorda community (Vivantd),
which was at the center of Charlie's landfall. Within twenty -four hours, Brian Stock decided to organize
a relief effort using Vivantd as a base of operations. What began as a relatively simple effort soon
snowballed into a two -week long, $200,000 massive relief effort with more than 32,000 meals served
and the distribution of tens of thousands of dollars of supplies to victims.In 2012, Stock organized 75
local companies to complete a brand new, beautifully furnished home for a local family with 14
members who were living in a collapsing one -bath home. The new $175,000 -plus home had five -
bedroom and was fully furnished. It went up in 16 days thanks to the efforts of a team of builders,
contractors, designers and others. The generosity on the project did not stop with the home. Stock
arranged for the shelves, pantry and refrigerators to be stocked with food and everyday supplies. Every
child received a gift basket on their bed and a bike in the garage. There is a new basketball court in the
backyard and a lawn mower, as well as patio furniture and a gas grill.Stock also ties its monthly sales at
one of its communities to Builders Care with a donation made to the general fund for every home the
company sells.This past November the Stock Family partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a
home in Naples, providing 200 hours of volunteer labor and funding the hard construction costs of
building the home, which were approximately $53,000. Throughout the company's rapid growth, the
corporate philosophy on the importance of philanthropy has never wavered and has been central to the
Stock family of companies since the beginning.
