WHEREAS, the Collier Canty Recycling ordinance Alumber 2009 -56 established the Waste
Reduction Awards Anagram (the WRAP award); and
WHEREAS, the WRAP award recooizes businesses, /awt/tuMms, and multi- family residences for
enhanced and innovative recycling programs; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is pleased to recognize Yoh/ Mulching and Recycling,
Inc., for contributing to the greater good of Collier County by advocating recycling,
thereby helping to pro /org the usable /ifa of the Collier County Landfill, and,
WHEREAS, Yah/ A.& MV and Recycling, rne. 's recycling and scare reduction prop m includes
•
collecting and processing more than 67,270 tars of hw*cu /lane material awwa / /y, of
which 62,770 tans Is nw /eh ad recycled resulting in a 93 percent recycling rate, and
• receiving more than 36,702 tars of construction and demo /noon debris material, of rfiich
30,676 tors are sorted, recycled or otherwise diverted from burial in a landfill,
resulting in o 84 percent recycling rate, and,
WHEREAS, the WRAP award program includes a f romied certificate, a trophy, and space on the
county's website showcasing eco- frienrd /y business proctrces and recycling programs; and,
WHEREAS, the So /id and Hazordous Waste Management Division congratulates John and Teresa
FiAlmone, owners, and the staff of Yah/ Mulching and Recycling, Inc., for ;heir
outstanding efforts to promote waste reduction and recycling, and setting a positive
example for others in the hauling and processing industry. Their initiatives will have a
significant effect on sustaining the usable life of the Collier County Landfill and
protecting the em oronment.
