EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint one member to the Forest Lakes Roadway and Drainage
Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Forest Lakes Roadway and Drainage Advisory
Committee to a term expiring on April 21, 2019.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created on March 10, 1992 by
Ordinance No. 92-16 to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the
purposes of providing and maintaining improved roadway related drainage and roadway
restoration within the area of the Forest Lakes Roadway & Drainage MSTU as established by
Ordinance No. 91-107, as amended. The committee also prepares and recommends an itemized
budget,work programs and priorities. Applicants must reside within the MSTU. Terms are four
years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Member Kevin Mckyton did not reapply for his seat, which expired on April 21, 2015. The
vacancy was advertised and an application received from the following interested citizen:

recommended that Mr. Goody be appointed to a 4 year term expiring on April 21, 2019. A

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the
appointment.
