Agenda 04/14/2015 Item #16H1 4/14/2015 16.H.1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to appoint a member to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee. OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee to a term expiring on October 13, 2018. CONSIDERATIONS: This 5 member committee was created by Ord. No. 87-48, amended by Ord. No. 87-98 and 94-40 to carry out the requirements, conditions and various provisions of an Agreement relating to the use of land, or funds derived from the sale of land, conveyed to the County by Avatar Properties, Inc. (fld/a GAC Properties, Inc.) Applicants must reside within 1 of the 5 phases within the subdivision known as "Golden Gate Estates." Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup. Member Karen Acquard resigned in December 2014 after serving nearly 17 years on this committee. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
