EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize and appropriate revenue for current year reimbursements to EMS
in the amount of$47,857.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and appropriate revenue.
CONSIDERATIONS: It is the practice of EMS to order expendable medical supplies and
medications for the independent fire districts in an effort to assist them in reducing their costs by
taking advantage of the County bid for these items. Since the cost of medical expendable
supplies has significantly increased this fiscal year, it is necessary to restore this revenue to the
EMS operating budget to accommodate purchases for the balance of FY15.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is required to recognize a total of$47,857 within
EMS Fund 490 for current year reimbursements.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality, and requires
majority vote for Board approval.—SRT
GROWTH IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the necessary
Budget Amendment in the amount of $47,857 to appropriate reimbursed expenses for
independent fire district purchases.
