PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, April has been declared National Child Abuse Prevention Month; and,
WHEREAS, the Children's Advocacy Center of Collier County (CAC) has been dedicated to
reducing the trauma to abused and neglected children and enhancing families'
ability to provide a safe environment since 1986; and,
WHEREAS, the CAC has been the only immediate response facility for young victims of
physical or sexual abuse, helping to minimize the trauma to abused and
neglected children in our community; and,
WHEREAS, in the past year, the CAC served 2,200 children and their families through
one or more of the programs it offers.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that April be designated as
CHILDREN'S AD VOCACY CENTER MONTH
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 24TH DAY OF MARCH, 2015.
