Withdraw Item 10A: This item continued from the February 10,2015 BCC Meeting. Recommendation that the
Board of County Commissioners recreates the Executive Director position for the Bayshore Gateway Triangle
Community Redevelopment Agency(CRA)and appoints Jean Jourdan as its Executive Director, making her a
direct report to the Collier County Redevelopment Agency,and direct the County Attorney to work with the
Chair of the CRA and Ms.Jourdan on an employment agreement.(Commissioner Fiala's request)

to adopt a Resolution petitioning Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Legislature to enact legislation that will
restore the local School Boards' control of educational standards,curriculum,and student assessments.

No.2004-41,the Collier County Land Development Code,by amending the appropriate zoning atlas map or
maps by changing the zoning classification of an additional 10±acres of land zoned rural Agricultural(A)to The
Golf Club of the Everglades RPUD; by amending the Master Plan; and by providing an effective date. The
subject property is located on Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension,just east of Collier Boulevard, in Section 31,

Stars in the Arts

In 2005, the United Arts Council of Collier County established an award to be
given to those local residents of Collier County who have made a significant
contribution to the arts. The criteria were based upon education, financial
Philanthropy, the performing arts and the visual arts as well as being a leader in
the arts. Nominations are made by the public and reviewed by a committee of past
Stars in the Arts winners and arts leaders.
Ron ]amro, Director of Museums for Collier County, received the Star In the
Arts Award for 2014 at the annual Star In The Arts banquet held on February 10.
He is recognized for expanding the Collier County facility from one building with
1,500 square feet to a 5 -acre historical park complex with satellite museums in
Everglades City, Immokalee, Marco Island and the Naples Depot. He has also
written several articles and books about local and regional history.
Previous winners of this award include Myra Daniels, the Naples Players, Donna
Fiala, Clyde Butcher, Dolph von Arx, Patty and Jay Baker, and Mary Margaret
Gruszka. The current president of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce
recently made mention that when companies consider re- locating - -- besides asking
about the weather conditions, the real estate, the schools —they also want to know
what the arts has to offer in the area. The 251 people attending the Star In the Arts
luncheon this past week attest to the importance of the arts in our community.
