EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to review the proposed zoning map changes and support documentation, and
direct the Chairman to sign the official zoning maps.
OBJECTIVE: To provide the Board of County Commissioners (BCC)the backup documentation in
support of the zoning map changes requested from the Growth Management Division (GMD).
CONSIDERATIONS: The GMD has compiled a list of one-hundred and two zoning atlas map
updates for signature. These zoning map updates relate to approvals of the BCC related to land use
petitions and plats, the Hearing Examiner's Office and staff identified miscellaneous changes. The
purpose of the Executive Summary is to provide the backup information explaining the authorization
of each request. The zoning map requests have been categorized within three distinct groups: Land
Use Petitions, BCC Approved Plats and Miscellaneous Changes.
The following list the type of support documents that have been provided within each grouping:
• Land Use Petitions grouping, the Board approved Ordinance Number or the individual
Hearing Examiner Decision provided.
• BCC Approved Plats grouping, a copy of the agenda page for the meeting each of the plats
were approved. It should be noted that no Resolution is associated with approved plats.
• Miscellaneous grouping,the identification of inconsistencies/inaccuracies identified by staff.
All of the requested changes, as noted have been categorized and provide within "Exhibit "A" of
this Executive Summary.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no Fiscal Impact associated with this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality. A majority vote is
needed for Board approval. -HFAC
GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN IMPACT: There are no impacts to the Growth Management
Plan associated with updating the official zoning maps for the County.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the BCC reviews the support documentation
provided for each zoning map update and direct the Chairman to sign the official zoning maps.
