EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize_ a ->budget amendment recognizing $62,000 approved for
reimbursement from the GAC Land Trust Fund for purchase of fitness and recreational equipment
for the Louise Hasse Community Center.
OBJECTIVE: To purchase exercise and related recreational equipment for the Louise Hasse Community
Center at Max Hasse Community Park
CONSIDERATIONS: On November 25,2013,the GAC Land Trust Committee recommended approval
of funding to purchase exercise and related recreational equipment for the Louise Hasse Community
Center at Max Hasse Community Park.
On March 25,2014,the Board approved funding the equipment purchase from the GAC Land Trust Fund
(605)(Agenda Item 16E5). Due to various delays,the equipment purchase was not made in FY14.
To proceed with the purchase in FY15, a budget amendment is needed to recognize the reimbursement
from the GAC Land Trust Fund(605)and to appropriate the $62,000 in the Parks and Recreation Capital
Fund(306)for the equipment purchase.
FISCAL IMPACT: Staff has prepared a budget amendment recognizing the reimbursement from the
GAC Land Trust-Fund (605) and appropriating the equipment purchase in the Parks and Recreation
Capital Fund(306)in the amount of$62,000.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: No legal issues are raised by this item which is ready for Board action.
This is a regular matter requiring majority vote. -JAB
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this
action.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes a budget amendment in
the amount of$62,000 for the purchase of fitness and recreational equipment.
