EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve an extension of one year for completion of infrastructure
improvements associated with Vercelli(AR-9669),Italia(AR-9746),and Lipari—Ponziane(AR-
10023) all within Treviso Bay pursuant to Section 10.02.05 C.2 of the Collier County Land
Development Code.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approve acme year extension for
the completion of the required infrastructure improvements associated with Vercelli, Italia, and Lipari -
Ponziane.
CONSIDERATIONS: On November 14, 2006, the Board approved the plats of Italia and Lipari —
Ponziane. On December 12,2006, the Board approved the plat for Vercelli. All of these projects have
received preliminary acceptance and the improvements are substantially complete. Section 10.02.05 C.2
requires that construction must be completed within 36 months of approval by the Board. The projects
are currently due to expire in 2015. These projects have continually requested and received extensions.
Currently, Section 10.02.05 C.2 of the Collier County Land Development Code allpws for two—2 year
extensions to be granted by the Growth Management Division. Therefore, the Beard must approve of
these additional extensions. Generally,the final lift of asphalt and sidewalks along vacant lots are the only
remaining improvements. The developer would prefer to wait until the homes are complete prior to
installing the final lift of asphalt.
FISCAL IMPACT: The County will realize revenues as follows:
Fund: Growth Management Fund 131
Agency: County Manager
Cost Center: 138327—Land Development Services
Revenue generated by this project: Total: $450.00 Extension Fees
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a
majority vote for Board approval.-SAS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That the Board accepts the applicant's extension request together with the appropriate fees.
2. Approve a one year extension until November 14, 2016, for Italia(AR—9746)and Lipari—Ponziane
(AR— 10023), and until December 12,2016 for Vercelli(AR—9669)so that the developer may be in
compliance with the time limit requirements of the Land Development Code.
3. The extension approval is subject to the terms and conditions contained in the original approval
letters.
