EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To appoint a member to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee to the
remainder of a vacant term expiring on March 3, 2021.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created on October 21, 1997 by Ordinance No.
97-52 to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of providing
curbing, watering facilities, plantings and maintenance of the median areas as set forth in Ordinance No.
96-84. The committee shall recommend work programs and priorities to the County Manager or his
designee. Members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the
current membership is included in the backup.
There are two current vacancies on this committee. The vacancies were advertised and the following
applications were received:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That Mr. Wilson be appointed to fill the remainder of a vacant
term on the committee which shall expire on March 3, 2021. A recommendation memo is included in the
backup. Mr. Sanders does not live within the boundaries of the MSTU and therefore does not qualify. The
remaining vacancy will continue to be advertised.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
