EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to accept the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Subrecipient
Agreement Extension report for the third quarter 2017.
OBJECTIVE: To comply with the requirements set forth in the FY 2016-2017 CDBG agreements.
CONSIDERATIONS: On October 11, 2016 (11.E.) the Board approved the federal fiscal year 2016-
2017 CDBG Subrecipient Agreements. Pursuant Section 1.4 of those agreements the County Manager
may extend the agreement end date by 180 days and must subsequently provide a quarterly report to the
Board of the extensions granted.
For the quarter period of July 1 through September 30, 2017, the County Manager approved six (6)
extension requests to allow additional time for the completion of the projects based on unforesee n delays
on August 10, 2017.
The attached Subreipient Agreement Extension Report provides the details of each extension request and
approval.
FISCAL IMPACT: The Immokalee CRA CD 16-008 funds will be budgeted in the Housing Grant Fund
(705), projects 33534 and 33479. The Bayshore CRA CD 16-005 and CD 16-003 funds will be budgeted
in the Housing Grant Fund (705), project 33479. The Catholic Charities CD 16 -006 funds will be
budgeted in the Housing Grant Fund (705), project 33176, 33289, 33364 and CDBG Grants Fund (121)
project 33024, 34500, 34515. The City of Naples CD 16-001 funds will be budgeted in the Housing Grant
Fund (705) projects 33434, 33479, 33434. The Habit for Humanity CD -16-011 funds will be budgeted in
the Housing Grant Fund (705), project 33364 and Housing Grant Fund (121) project 34505, 34510,
34515. There are no fiscal impacts associated with these extensions.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This item has no impact on Housing Element of the Growth
Management Plan of Collier County.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for legality and requires a majority vote for Board
action. - JAB
