EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve final acceptance and unconditional conveyance of the sewer utility
facilities for Collier Area Transit Transfer Facility, PL20150000969.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners, as Ex-Officio Governing Board of the
Collier County Water-Sewer District, approve final acceptance and unconditional conveyance of these
sewer facilities in accordance with the Collier County Utility Standards and Procedures, Ordinance No.
2004-31.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) The Developer of Collier Area Transit Transfer Facility has constructed the sewer facilities within
dedicated easements to serve this development.
2) Preliminary acceptance of these utility facilities was approved by the Development Review staff on
October 13, 2015. At that time, the value of these sewer utility facilities (assets) was $9,854
respectively.
3) The sewer utility facilities have been operated and maintained during the required one (1) year
warranty period, following preliminary acceptance.
4) A final inspection to discover defects in materials and workmanship has been conducted by the staff
on August 21, 2017, in coordination with Public Utilities and these facilities have been found to be
satisfactory and acceptable.
5) This final acceptance is in accordance with Collier County Ordinance No. 2004-31, as amended.
6) Staff is unaware of any issues that would serve to negate the recommendation to release the
applicable security.
FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Executive Summary will have no specific financial impact.
However, approval of this Executive Summary will result in the Collier County Water -Sewer District
receiving unconditional title to the utility facilities, which at the time of preliminary acceptance, had a
total gross value of $9,854 (no depreciation applied).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a
majority vote for Board approval - SAS
