EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint two member(s) to the Lely Golf Estates Beautification Advisory
Committee
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Lely Golf Estates Beautification Advisory Committee
to four-year terms expiring on October 1, 2021.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created by Ordinance No. 87-69 to prepare and
recommend an itemized budget for the Lely Golf Estates Beautification Municipal Service Taxing Unit
and aids and assists the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the services of the taxing unit.
Members must reside within the boundaries of the municipal service taxing unit. Terms are 4 years. A list
of the current membership is included in the backup.
Three seats on this committee will expire on October 1, 2017. The pending vacancies were advertised and
applications were received from the following:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That Mr. Branco and Ms. Jorgensen each be reappointed to
their respective seats on this committee, to four-year terms expiring on October 1, 2021. A
recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the reappointments.
