The Florida Division of Emergency Management informed the Collier County Bureau of Emergency Services on June 30, 2017, that the application deadline was July 23, 2017. In order to make the deadline, the request was submitted on July 7, 2017. Collier County CMA #5330 authorizes the County Manager to approve the submittal of grant applications with subsequent Board of County Commissioners action at the next available Board meeting to ratify the approval as “after-the-fact.” FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of the request for Fire Management Assistance Subgrant will enable Collier County to be reimbursed for eligible expenses associated with the Florida 30th Avenue Fire.
