RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADDITIONAL STATE FUNDS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE COLLIER COUNTY
PUBLIC SERVICES/HEALTH DEPARTMENT FACILITY
WHEREAS, the State of Florida and Collier County have
recognized the need for an improved Public Services/Health
Department facility to serve the citizens of Collier County;
and,
WHEREAS, Collier County has appropriated $1,250,000, and
the State of Florida $750,000 for such a facility; and,
WHEREAS, initial design has determined the preliminary
square footage requirements inadequate to meet the growing
needs of such a facility, additional funding will be necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, that the County
requests through its Representative Ms. Mary Ellen Hawkins that
the State• cf Florida appropriate an additional $1,000,000 to
allow for completion of the Public Services/Health Department
facility.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second, and roll call
vote as follows:
