EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for Fund Center 192370,
Marco Island Executive Airport, within Collier County Airport Fund 495 in the amount of
$239,750 and appropriate the funding to accommodate increased Jet-A fuel purchases over
budgeted levels.
OBJECTIVE: To authorize a budget amendment to recognize and appropriate revenue for the continued
purchase of aviation fuels at the Marco Island Executive Airport.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Marco Island Executive Airport has experienced heavy aviation traffic and
has exceeded its annual budgeted revenues as of May 2017. As such, expense levels are insufficient to
continue purchasing aviation fuels. A budget amendment is required to recognize revenues that have
exceeded budgeted levels and appropriate funding to accommodate additional fuel purchases for the
remainder of FY2017.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funds in the amount of $239,750 will be appropriated within the Marco Island
Executive Airport cost center 192370. Purchase orders for Jet-A will be increased accordingly to allow
for the continued purchase of the critical product.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This is no growth management impact related to this item.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK

RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -______
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, ACTING AS THE AIRPORT
AUTHORITY, TO RECOGNIZE REVENUE RECEIVED FROM THE
OPERATIONS OF THE MARCO ISLAND EXECUTIVE AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners (BCC) has recognized the importance
of ongoing airport operation sales and services in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, The Marco Island Executive Airport has exceeded its budgeted revenues by
$239,750 as of June 1 2017; and
WHEREAS, all revenue shall be recognized at this time to be utilized for the immediate
encumbrance of funds for the further purchase of aviation fuels to support the demand of the
aviation community in Collier County.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board finds that funds
deposited by the Marco Island Executive Airport are approved and available for use to support the
further aviation fuel purchases and operations of the airport.
This Resolution adopted on this ____ day of June, 2017, after motion, second and majority
vote favoring adoption.
