EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize execution of the budget amendment in the amount of $42,000 for
communications equipment (9-1-1).
OBJECTIVE: To authorize execution of the budget amendment in the amount of $42,000 for
communications equipment (9-1-1).
CONSIDERATION: The Collier County Sheriff's Office needs to buy specific communications
equipment that will pro-actively assist the Collier County 9-1-1 system with identifying and correcting
discrepancies in 9-1-1 calls made by the citizens and visitors to Collier County.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed in the amount of $42,000, funds are located within
E911 Consolidated Fund (611).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: None.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners (1) authorize execution of the
budget amendment for the 9-1-1 communications equipment.
