Agenda 04/25/2017 Item #16E104/25/2017 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve the addition of one classification and the removal of three classifications in the 2017 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made from January 1, 2017 through March 31, 2017. OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify the addition of one new classification and removal of three classification within the 2017 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year - in January, in April and in July. The modification to the County’s 2017 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan (Exhibit 1) consists of one new classification and removal of three classification. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. - CMG RECOMMENDATION: To approve the addition of one classification and removal of three classifications to the 2017 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan.
