EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint two member(s) to the Haldeman Creek Dredging Maintenance
Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one new member and reappoint one current member to the Haldeman Creek
Dredging Maintenance Advisory Committee, to four-year terms expiring on March 13, 2021.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Haldeman Creek Dredging Maintenance Advisory Committee is a five
member committee created on November 28, 2006 by Ordinance 2006-60, to aid and assist the Board of
County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of the MSTU, to prepare and recommend an itemized
budget, and to recommend work programs and priorities. Members are to be appointed from different
parcels, subdivisions and/or communities within the MSTU. Terms are four years . A list of the current
membership is included in the backup.
Two seats on this committee expired on March 13, 2017. The vacancies were advertised and applications
were received from the following:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That the Board reappoint Mr. Bonzelaar, and appoint Ms.
Riley, to this committee, each to a four-year term expiring on March 13, 2021. Recommendation me mos

FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointments.
