EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Eric Wise, Instrumentation/Electrical Technician, as the February
2017 Employee of the Month.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize the efforts and accomplishments of an employee who has made significant
contributions to the organization or to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Eric Wise, Instrumentation/Electrical Technician, Water Power Systems has
been with the County for more than 17 years and works for the Public Utilities Department.
Eric was selected by the Employee of the Month Committee in part because of his dedication to his trade
and his team members in Water Power Systems. He was a key participant in the modifications in the SRO
wellfield which has made a significant impact in improved efficiency and reduced cost of operation.
Eric’s leadership in the division has elevated those around him to tackle difficult and highly technical
issues and to become even more productive and efficient. He is always (24/7) available to his team and is
ready to respond at all hours to assist with any technical emergency that comes up. Eric’s dedication to
his job, and support of his fellow team members, as well as the many improvement projects he has been a
part of, or taken the lead on; his excellent technical abilities and hi s outstanding customer service
combine to make him stand out as the true reflection of an outstanding employee, and very deserving of
this award.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected “Employee of the Month” receives a $150.00 cash award. Funds for
this are available in the employees budget cost center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: To approve the recognition of Eric Wise as the February 2017 Employee of
the Month.
