EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the addition of three classifications and the reclassification of
one position in the 2017 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made from October 1, 2016
through December 31, 2016.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to ratify the addition of three new
classifications and the reclassification of one position within the 2017 Fiscal Year Pay&
Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has
authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual
Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This
occurs three times during the fiscal year- in January, in April and in July.
The modification to the County's 2017 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan (Exhibit 1) consists
of three new classifications and one reclassification.
FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved
as to form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approves the addition of three classifications and one
reclassification.
