A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, RETAINING THE MEMBERS OF THE
PUBLIC SAFETY AUTHORITY AS THE MEMBERS OF THE
EMERGENCY MEDICAL AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2012-23 established the Public Safety
Authority to analyze issues pertaining to pre-hospital emergency medical treatment and transport
systems in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, as recommended by the Public Safety Authority, the Board of County
Commissioners (Board) intends to repeal Ordinance No. 2012-23, as amended, and adopt a
replacement Ordinance reestablishing the advisory board as the Emergency Medical Authority;
and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to retain the membership and terms of office of the Public
Safety Authority under the name of the Emergency Medical Authority after the repeal of
Ordinance No. 2012-23, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Public Safety Authority
members serving immediately prior to the adoption of the Ordinance establishing the Emergency
Medical Authority shall fulfill the remainder of their appointed terms as members of the
Emergency Medical Authority.
