I have been working to get you the answer you are looking for. 1-75 is not a county roadway.The Florida Department of Transportation requires that local government request any changes via an official resolution.Since the location you are describing is in unincorporated Collier County, FDOT would need this resolution to come from the County Commission.This would formally begin the process of potentially replacing "Naples Park"with "North Naples." When we get close to Naples the signs read "Naples Park" which is just a neighborhood in Naples and doesn't really tell anyone where in Naples they are going when they get off the highway. The signs should change with the times. The signs should be changed to North Naples to designate the area of Naples you have access to off of Exit 111 and not a neighborhood way over the other side of 41! With the new correct designation all neighborhoods would be included and everyone would know they are going to the North Naples area opposed to East Naples or Downtown (another good sign for Exit 101!!) Naples. This way too no one needs to ask us any more "where's the Park?" or "is there boating or swimming at Naples Park?" or "what's at the Naples Park for kids?" etc., etc.! People need to know that they are getting off the road for North Naples because that's what everyone in NN gives as a location. I hope you'll be instrumental in getting the Naples Park designation off the signs and changed to North Naples for all of us in North Naples and for all the visitors that come here so there is no confusion as to where they are.
