EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Golden Gate Beautification Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint one member to the Golden Gate Beautification Advisory Committee to fill the
remainder of a vacant term expiring on October 6, 2017.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5 member committee was created by Ord. No. 87-78 to advise and make
recommendations to the BCC regarding the beautification and maintenance of landscape improvements
within the road right of way as described by ordinance boundaries. The committee shall prepare an
itemized budget of the amount of money required to carry out the business of the committee for the next
fiscal year. Members must be residents of one of the following precincts: 323, 324, 325, 326, 327, and
part of 322. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There is one current vacancy on this committee. The vacancy was advertised and an application was
received from the following:

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation,and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
