EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Claude Nesbitt, Project Manager, Administrative Services
Department as the October 2016 Employee of the Month.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize the efforts and accomplishments of an employee who has made significant
contributions to the organization or to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Claude Nesbitt, Project Manager has been with the County since 2005 and works
for Facilities Management.
Claude always has a positive attitude and is willing to tackle any challenge that is thrown his way, and he
is always willing to take the really tough projects. He has managed some major construction projects
including the Sheriffs Fleet Building, the Gordon River Greenway, the Chiller Plant expansion and both
the Administration Building and Courthouse renovations; with an estimated total value of almost $30
million dollars. While all these were important projects, Claude's most memorable accomplishment is the
completion of the Freedom Memorial Flag project at the Fred Coyle Freedom Memorial Park. Claude
worked on this project for more than 7 years and coordinated the efforts of both the construction and the
dedication event. His passion, drive and determination for the project were a major factor in its final
success and prove he is very deserving of the Employee of the Month award.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected "Employee of the Month" receives a $150.00 cash award. Funds are
available in the employee's Budget Cost Center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the recognition of Claude
Nesbitt as Employee of the Month for October 2016.
