PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Kiwanis is home to the largest youth service programs in the
world. Local clubs programs empower children of all ages to make
an impact through service and leadership.; and,
WHEREAS, Kiwanis members internationally provide more than $426 million of
impact through service and in the United States, raised for than
$100 million; and,
WHEREAS, The Kiwanis Club of Golden Gate, Naples has provided support
for student leadership organizations, Key Club, Circle K
International, and Cub Scout Pack 25, Little league Baseball,
Youth Soccer and Basketball programs, the Golden Gate
Community Center's programs, all Golden Gate schools, student
tutoring, school supplies, Bringing Up Grades program and support
of many community agencies including the Collier County Sheriff's
Office, Greater Naples Fire and Rescue and the Safe and
Healthy Children's Coalition, 95210 Let's Go program with our
Run4Fun; and,
WHEREAS, Fifty years of meeting the needs of a diversified community has
strengthened the resolve of its members, past and present; and,
WHEREAS, The Kiwanis Club of Golden Gate, Naples, was chartered on
November 29, 1966 and is celebrating their Golden Anniversary.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that November 29, 2016 be designated
as
The 50th Anniversary of the Golden Gate, Naples Kiwanis Club
