PROCLAMATION
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, On behalf of the residents of Collier County, the Collier County
Board of County Commissioners would like to recognize Legal Aid
Service of Collier County for its dedication to the men and women
who have sacrificed so much for this community and country by
hosting the 5*h Annual Wills for Heroes Pro Bono Event; and,
WHEREAS, In partnership with members of the Trusts and Estates Section of
the Collier County Bar Association, Legal Aid Service of Collier
County will draft wills, living wills, and related basic estate
planning instruments for some of the heroes in our community;
and,
WHEREAS, The pro bono clinic provides help to local veterans, police officers,
firefighters, first responders and their spouses; and,
WHEREAS, The goal of Wills for Heroes is to ensure that the legal affairs of
these special citizens are in order to protect them and their
families; and,
WHEREAS, To thank these local heroes for their service in our local
community and country; and,
WHEREAS, The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday,
November 5, at Legal Aid Service of Collier County, 4436 Tamiami
Trial E., Naples, Florida 34112; and,
WHEREAS, Attendees wishing to receive services at the Wills for Heroes
event must be Florida residents with a military or other service
ID and register in advance by completing a registration form; and,
WHEREAS, The Board of Collier County Commissioners would like to officially
recognize Legal Aid Service of Collier County for hosting such an
impactful event for our Collier County heroes.
NOW THEREFORE, it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that November 5, 2016, be designated as
