Agenda 09/13/2016 R Item #16A40 1 6.A.40 09/13/2016 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue and transfer funding for projects within Transportation Capital Fund (313) and CDES Transportation Capital Fund (310) in the amount of$266,906.90 (Projects 60085,60088,69331,69333,69334, 69336 and 69338.) OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for the Countywide Pathways Program, Planned Unit Development (PUD) Monitoring/Traffic Counts Payment-in-Lieu, and Traffic Impact Study Review, within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund(313) and CDES Transportation Capital Fund(310). CONSIDERATIONS: Funds have been collected specifically as payment-in-lieu and project review fees from the application and monitoring process. These funds are required to be tracked and expended for mitigation or studies on behalf of the developments as required for monitoring conditions. These funds were collected in fiscal year 2016 and exceeded the budgeted revenues. It is now appropriate to recognize these revenues and transfer the funds into the following projects: Project Title Amount collected in FY 2016(exceeding budgeted revenues) TIS Review(60085) $81,500.50 PUD Monitoring/Traffic Counts(60088) $9,500.00 County Wide Bikeway(69331) $12,667.84 County Wide Bikeway(69333) $35,131.68 County Wide Bikeway(69334) $12,489.28 County Wide Bikeway(69336) $1,954.24 County Wide Bikeway(69338) $113,663.36 Total $266,906.90 FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are required to recognize the additional revenue exceeding FY16 budgeted amounts and appropriate into the correct projects in the amount of$266,906.90 within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund(313) and CDES Transportation Capital Fund(310). LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, does not raise any legal issue and requires a majority vote for Board approval. -JAK GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. RECOMMENDATION: To recognize funds in the amount of$266,906.90, and authorize the necessary budget amendments.
