We were never advised of the creation of the Beautification Advisory Committee; therefore, we were not asked to participate on its deliberation or advised as to a financial commitment for us, the homeowners. We also strongly object to the MSTU assessment for Livingston Road. Since many of us are not full time residents of Naples we will not be able to attend the public hearing on September 5th however we wish our objection to be recorded at this and subsequent hearing on the proposed tax increases. Please confirm in writing that the voice of our fifty-three homeowners will be represented in these public hearings. WHEREAS, Section 200.065, Florida Statutes, provides the procedure for fixing the millage rates; and WHEREAS, Section 129.03, Florida Statutes, sets forth the procedure for preparation and adoption of the budget; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has received and examined the tentative budgets for each of the County's funds; and WHEREAS, on July 30, 2002, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2002-338, approving the County's proposed millage rates and setting the public hearings for adoption of the tentative and final millage rates; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, Florida Statutes, an advertised public heating was held on September 5, 2002, to adopt the tentative millage rates. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the FY 2002-03 Tentative Millage Rates as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein, are hereby adopted as the Tentative Millage Rates for FY 2002-03, pursuant to Sections 129.03 and 200.065, Florida Statues.
