EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Lisa Jacob, Project Manager Associate, Pelican Bay Services as the
June 2016 Employee of the Month.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize the efforts and accomplishments of an employee who has made significant
contributions to the organization or to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Lisa Jacob, Project Manager Associate has been with the County since 2006 and
works for Pelican Bay Services.
Lisa consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to be a resource at all levels of Collier
Government. One example of this was her effort to successfully mobilize the Clam Pass dredging
project. Thanks to her coordination, Collier County realized a cost savings of hundreds of thousands of
dollars as well as obtaining a vital 10 year permit from the Army Corp of Engineers. Lisa acted as the
"boots on the ground" to ensure all operations were appropriately coordinated. Lisa effectively
implemented an environmentally friendly work flow process, and while it required sacrificing her
personal time, she never abandoned a steady level of exemplary customer service. As obstacles arose Lisa
remained a steadfast resource to the Board of County Commissioners, County Managers Office and the
Citizens of Collier County. Lisa's commitment to her job and the community she serves make her very
deserving of the Employee of the Month award.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected"Employee of the Month"receives a$150.00 cash award. Funds are
available in the employee's Budget Cost Center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the recognition of Lisa
Jacob as Employee of the Month for June 2016.
