EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Jeanne Marcella, Executive Secretary, Growth Management
Department as the April 2016 Employee of the month.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize the efforts and accomplishments of an employee who has made significant
contributions to the organization or to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Jeanne Marcella, Executive Secretary has been with the County since 1998 and
works for the Growth Management Department.
Jeanne was instrumental in making the transition of Department Heads at Growth Management seem
nearly effortless. She welcomed the new Department Head, and has helped him become acclimated while
continuing to provide support for the Deputy County Manager. Her years of experience, exceptional
work ethic and dependability made this a smooth transition for all. Jeanne's exceptional customer service
extends not only to external customers, but to all her co-workers as well. She is always available and her
extensive knowledge of the county is often sought after by her peers. She is the first to provide
assistance, and quietly tries to lift morale whenever needed. She does so many "little" things that really
mean a lot to others. Her dedication and professionalism is endless and she is very deserving of this
award.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected "Employee of the Month" receives a $150.00 cash award. Funds are
available in the employee's Budget Cost Center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the recognition of Jeanne
Marcella as Employee of the Month for April 2016.
