PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, county government is a complex and multifaceted process which
affects the lives of all residents of Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, an increased knowledge of how various aspects of county
government work can enhance an individual's quality of life in
Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable for all county residents to be knowledgeable of
the county's government and how it works; and,
WHEREAS, the Collier County University Extension/4-H Youth Development,
and the Collier County Public Schools have co-sponsored the Know
Your County Government Teen Citizenship program for 36 years.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that the week of April 12, 2016 be
designated as
THE 36TH ANNIVERSARY OF
KNOW YOUR COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 12th Day of April, 2016.
