Memorandum _ _ To: Wanda Rodriguez From: Kimberley Grant Date: February 23, 2016 Re: Mr. Jose Nunez Non-appointment to Affordable Housing Advisory Committee A regular meeting of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) was held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Although there was not a quorum to vote on the recommendation for non-appointment of Mr. Jose Nunez to the committee, there was a general consensus of those members present to send a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners not to appoint Mr.Nunez to the committee. Although Mr. Nunez could qualifiy for another position on the committee, after the appointment of three other candidates, there was only one position left to be filled and that was the one for"labor engaged in home building". Mr. Nunez has a law background and does not fit into this category. Ms. Christina Apostolidis, Mr. Joseph Schmitt, Mr. Jose Nunez and Ms. Denise Murphy were the four applicants submitted for the four open positions at this time— none of whom fit the category of"labor engaged in home building".
