EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the addition of three new classifications and one reclassification to the
2016 Fiscal Year Classification Plan made from October 1,2015 through December 31,2015.
OBJECTIVE: To ratify the addition of three new classifications and one reclassification to the 2016
Fiscal Year Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has
authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year
Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times
during the fiscal year—in January, in April and in July.
The modifications to the County's 2016 Fiscal Year Classification Plan(Exhibit 1) consist of the addition
of three new classifications and the reclassification of one classification based on business needs.
FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires majority
vote for approval. —CMG
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approves the modifications of classification specifications titles
in the 2016 Fiscal Year Classification Plan.
