RESOLUTION NO. 87- 21
2. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF LANDS
BY GIFT, PURCHASE OR CONDELNNATION, NECESSARY FOR
• THE WIDENING OF STATE ROAD 5-951 FROM U.S. 41 TO
MARCO ISLAND BRIDGE.
•
WHEREAS, pursuant to due authorization the Secretary of the Florida
Department of Transportation has had a part of State Road 951 in Collier •
County, Florida, located and surveyed and has designated same as Section
03030-2511; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 85-10, a copy of which is attached,
State Road 951 is included in an agreement, between the State Department of
Transportation and Collier County, in which Collier •County is obligated "to
acquire the entire right-of-way for" said road widening.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF

COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it is the judgement of said Board that the
construction of said roadways is necessary and in the best interests of
Collier County, and said Board approves the location and survey of the
aforementioned part of State Road 951 and directs that a copy of a certified
map or plat of the survey and location by the County Engineer be filed in the •
Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Collier County, if the same has
not already been filed by the State Department of Transportation.
AND, FURTHER, IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it is the judgement of said
Board that the right-of-way for the roadbed, drainage ditches, and borrow pita
for said roadway improvements be acquired.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County staff is authorized to acquire
by gift, purchase. or condemnation in accordance with the provisions of
Chapters 73, 74, and 127, Florida Statutes, the lands as described in Exhibits
"A", "B", "C", and "D", attached hereto and incorporated herein, to be used for
the construction and maintenance of road and drainage facilities, roadbeds,
drainage ditches and borrow pita for said roadway improvements for said
