A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
RECOGNIZING AND ACCEPTING A $20,000 DONATION
FOR THE PURCHASE OF OUTDOOR FURNITURE AT
THE TONY ROSBOUGH PARK.
WHEREAS, Collier County Resolution No. 2009-48 declares a public purpose for the
solicitation, receipt, and expenditure of donations to the Parks and Recreation Division; and
WHEREAS, at the April 9, 2016 grand opening of the Tony Rosbough Park tee-ball field
in Immokalee, Thomas and Nancy Hester presented a $20,000 donation to the Parks and
Recreation Division to assist with the needs of the new facility; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hester support the County's efforts to provide recreational
opportunities to the children of Immokalee, and it is the intent of the Parks and Recreation
Division to use this generous donation to purchase outdoor furniture such as tables, bleachers,
and possibly a small shade structure; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that there is a compelling public
purpose to accept and use this donation to improve this new park facility.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board of County
Commissioners hereby accepts and recognizes the $20,000 donation from Thomas and Nancy
Hester to benefit the Tony Rosbough Park.
