DETERMINE CALLING
GOODLAND
AREA 'SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE MARCO
ISLAND FIRE CONTROL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Chapter 65-1413, Laws of Florida, establishes the Marco
Island Fire Control District, and
WHEREAS, the land description contained in Chapter 65-1413, Laws
• of Florida, inadvertently omits certain land known as Goodland and
certain other adjacent property, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 79-444, Laws of Florida, as enacted by a
special act of the State Legislature corrects this error by including the
Goodland area,• as described below, upon an affirmative vote, by referen-
dum, of those qualified electors of the area added to the district;
NOW, THEREFORE,' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that;
1. The Clerk is directed to publish a notice of election in accordance
with applicable statutes.
2. A ballot shall be prepared which shall contain the 'following ballot
• question:
• Do you favor the addition of the Goodland area to the Marco Island
Fire Control District, in accordance with Chapter 79-444, Laws of
Florida. In no event shall the millage levied by the district exceed
one mill.
3. Said election shall be held March 11, 1980 in the Goodland area as
described in Chapter 79-444, Laws of Florida.
