RESOLUTION 80 - 10
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR N ELECTION IN
BOOR 05 PACE ZS TO DETERMINE WHETHER THEA ORDINANCE
CREATING THE NAPLES PARK LIGHTING
DISTRICT SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has enacted an
ordinance creating the Naples Park Lighting District; and,
WHEREAS, a number of residents in Naples Park have again re-
quested that the Board of County Commissioners submit the question of
implementation of Ordinance 78-47 to the electorate; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the public interest to determine whether
the voters of the district support such a district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that;
• 1. The Clerk is directed to publish a Notice of Election in accor-
dance with applicable statutes.
2. A ballot shall be prepared which shall contain the following
ballot question:
Do you favor the implementation of County Ordinance 78-47,
creating a taxing district to provide street lighting in Naples
Park with the authority to levy sufficient taxes to pay the
cost of providing street lights? In no event shall the
millage levied by the district exceed 1.5 mills.
3. Said election shall be held on MMrLI) 11, 190000 In that subdi-
h vision known as Naples Park as described in Ordinance 78-47.
