PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, April has been declared National Child Abuse Prevention Month; and
WHEREAS, the Children's Advocacy Center of Collier County (CAC) has been dedicated to
reducing the trauma to abused and neglected children and enhancing families'
ability to provide a safe environment since 1986; and
WHEREAS, the CAC has been the only immediate response facility for young victims of
physical or sexual abuse, helping to minimize the trauma to abused and
neglected children in our community; and
WHEREAS, in the past year, the CAC served 2,200 children and their families through
one or more of the programs it offers.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that April 13 through April 19, 2014 be designated as
CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER WEEK
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 8t" Day of April, 2014.
