RESOLUTION NO. 93- 521
- A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSED SPECIAL ACT
REPEALING CHAPTER 67-1238, LAWS OF FLORIDA,
RELATING TO CHILD CARE CENTERS, KINDERGARTENS,
SCHOOLS AND OTHER SIMILAR ESTABLISHMENTS CARING
I FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF SEVEN (7) YEARS IN
COLLIER COUNTY; DESCRIBING MINIMUM STANDARDS AND
REGULATIONS RELATIVE TO SANITATION, SAFETY,
WELFARE, AND PHYSICAL PLANT THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR
THE GRANTING AND REVOKING OF PERMITS FOR THE
OPERATION OF SUCH ESTABLISHMENTS BY THE COLLIER
COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Chapter 67-1238, Laws of Florida, relating to child
care centers, kindergartens, schools and other similar
establishments caring for children under the age of seven (7)

years in Collier County; describing minimum standards and

, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it to be in r

a , the best interest of Collier County to repeal in its entirety,
Chapter 67-1238, Laws of Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:

1) The proposed Special Act which repeals Chapter 67-1238,
Laws of Florida, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereby
! approved.

2) The Staff is hereby directed to send the attached
proposed Special Act to the Legislative Delegation for
3.:' consideration during the 1994 Legislative Session.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority
vote.
