RESOLUTION NO 93- 517
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSED SPECIAL ACT
REPEALING CHAPTER 9412 (1923) , LAWS OF FLORIDA,
WHICH AUTHORIZED THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA TO PURCHASE, RECEIVE
AND TO HOLD TITLE TO LANDS FOR PARK AND PARKWAY
PURPOSES AND TO PROTECT, IMPROVE, MAINTAIN AND
BEAUTIFY THE SAME AS WELL AS PUBLIC HIGHWAYS AND
TO PROVIDE FOR A SPECIAL TAX NOT EXCEEDING ONE
MILL FOR SUCH PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Chapter 9412 (1923) , Laws of Florida, which
authorized the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida to purchase, receive and to hold title to lands for park
and parkway purposes and to
protect, improve, maintain and
beautify the same as well as public highways and to provide for a
special tax not exceeding one mill for such u
p rposes has been •
superseded by subsequent general law; and
'; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it to be in
the best interest of Collier County to repeal in its entirety,
Chapter 9412 (1923) , Laws of Florida.
I. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
;j COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:

-4' 1) The proposed Special Act which repeals Chapter 9412
(1923) , Laws of Florida, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereb
approved. y
2) The Staff is hereby directed to send the attached
proposed Special Act to the Legislative Delegation for
consideration during the 1994 Legislative Session.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority •
vote.

Section 1. The purpose of this Act is to repeal a special
