RESUMES FROM INTERESTED PERSONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR •'"' APPOINTMENT TO THE COLLIER COUNTY TOURIST DEVELOPMENT C ' :;'%";. COUNCIL 1 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Collier 1- L. County Ordinance No. 90-43 to levy Y and impose/a three percent (3%) tourist development tax; and WHEREAS, the electors of Collier County approved the levy of , t- v ,, the three percent (3%) tourist development tax as contained in ¢ t County Ordinance No. 90-43 on September 4, 1990; and + ` WHEREAS, County Ordinance No. 90-43 provided for the repeal b' : of County Ordinance No. 88-58, and thereby required the Rr , ' ;`` dissolution of the Tourist Development Council appointed pursuant 4,,,, to Ordinance 88-58; and WHEREAS, it is necessary, pursuant to the provisions of ;•,. ;' Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes, and Ordinance 90-43, for the ' Board of County Commissioners to make appointments to a new Collier County Tourist Development Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY , COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. Staff is hereby authorized to advertise the vacancies on the Collier County Tourist Development Council. . ' 'P 2. Pursuant to County Ordinance No. 90-43, the Collier ',.its r?.. . , . 4- County Tourist Development Council will be composed of nine ' , members who will be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Two members of the council shall be elected municipal officials, one of whom shall be from the most populous 1:: municipality in the county. Three members of the council shall be • '''' owners or operators of motels, hotels, recreational vehicle parks, n - v_ or other tourist accommodations located in Collier County and =• . a' .°'s;-` subject to the tourist development tax.
