RESOLUTION NO. 83- 198
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE USE OF THE VESSEL "CYPRESS" FOR THE
DREDGING OF DOCTORS PASS, A PROJECT OF SAVE THE BAYS ASSOCIATION,
INC., BENEFITTING THE RESIDENTS OF COLLIER COUNI7.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes the purpose and
objectives of Save the Bays Association, Inc. in their efforts to improve the
condition of Doctors Pass; and
WHEREAS, the funds to accomplish this work are the result of donations and
contributions from the citizens of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, this work will enhance safety and navigability and improve the
conditions within the bav; and
WHEREAS, the use of the vessel "Cypress" will contribute a benefit to this
project by a reduction in total cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, that:
SECTION ONE: This Commission hereby commends the Save the Ba,s Association,
Inc., for its outstanding accomplishments and extends its appreciation to those
who have made contributions to the project.
SECTION TWO: The residents, property owners, businesses, and organizations of
Collier County are hereby encouraged to continue their support of such projects
through financial contributions and personal assistance.
SECTION THREE: The use of the vessel "Cypress" shall be provided at cost for
the term of the work in recognition of the benefits of the project to the total
community.
SECTION FOUR: This Resolution shall take effect immediate) i:pon adoption.
