A RESOLUTION SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION
NUMBER 2013-028, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE
COLLIER AREA TRANSIT (CAT) BUS FARES AND
TRANSIT FEE POLICY, TO AUTHORIZE THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF BIKE LOCKER RENTAL
FEES.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has the authority to approve
the Collier Area Transit(CAT)bus fares and transit fee policy; and
WHEREAS, in July 2013, the Intermodal Transfer Station at the Government
Center was opened and included new bike lockers, which require the establishment of
locker rental fees, policies and procedures.
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2013 and after due consideration on its agenda and
majority vote, the Board adopted Resolution 2013-028 establishing the CAT bus fares
and transit fee policy;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY THAT:
1. Collier Area Transit(CAT) is hereby authorized to set bus fares in accordance with the
below schedule:

Monthly Pass - Full Fare $35.00
Youth Monthly Pass- Reduced Fare $17.50

Marco Express Reduced Fare $1.25
Marco Express Monthly Pass- Full Fare $70.00
Marco Express Monthly Pass- Reduced Fare $35.00
* Fare would also apply to the subcontracted transportation provider with the
Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged that provides
transportation services under the non-emergency transportation Medicaid
contract for Collier County.
2. The CAT Fee Policy is hereby established as follows:
I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to establish user fees that will partially offset the
cost of providing services to the taxpayers of Collier County.
II. LIMITATIONS,
No Waiving of Fees. The Board of County Commissioners shall set all fees
and charges. No fees may be waived, except as stated herein.
III. FEES
Smart Media Fees
Smart Card Initial Cost $2.00
Registration Fee $3.00
Replacement Cost $2.00
Replacement Cost with registration $1.00
Bike Locker Rental Fees
Annual User Fee $60.00
New Application Fee $10.00
Key Deposit $50.00
Quarterly Rental Rate $20.00
Annual Rental Rate $75.00

3. This policy shall be effective February 1, 2014.
