A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING A DESTINATION GUIDE SIGN BE ERECTED
ON INTERSTATE 75 (1 -75) AT EXIT 101 (COLLIER BOULEVARD) DESIGNATING
THE COMMUNITY OF EAST NAPLES.
WHEREAS, the communities of Naples Park and Golden Gate both appear on
the Florida Official Transportation Map for 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Chairwoman of the Board of County Commissioners (BCC), in a
letter dated June 12, 2013, to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT),
requested that East Naples be placed on the Florida Official Transportation Map for
2014; and
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2013, the county received notification from the FDOT
approving the inclusion of East Naples in the Florida Official Transportation Map for
2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
The BCC does hereby request that the FDOT erect a destination guide sign
indicating the community of East Naples at Exit 101 on 1 -75 as soon as practical.
This resolution adopted after motion, second, and majority vote favoring same
this 10th day of September, 2013.
