A RESOLUTION MEMORIALZING THE APPOINTMENT OF
CLARENCE TEARS AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER OF THE COLLIER
COUNTY RESTORE AD HOC SELECTION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
REPRESENTING EVERGLADES CITY.
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2013, the Board of County Commissioners formally appointed
external stakeholders to the RESTORE ("Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourism
Opportunities and Revived Economies of the Gulf States Act of 2012") Ad Hoc Selection
Committee (the "Committee"), which includes Mayor Sammy Hamilton as a regular member
representing Everglades City; and
WHEREAS, Everglades City requests that Clarence Tears be named to serve as the
City's alternate member; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds that this request may assist the
Committee in making recommendations in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY FLORIDA, THAT:
1. Clarence Tears is appointed as an alternate member to the RESTORE Ad Hoc
Selection Committee representing Everglades City.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County,Florida, this 9th day of July, 2013.
