Fuel Sales Up In January
2413!
The 100LL fuel sales were up 30% in the
month of January 2013. The Immokalee
Airport FBO sold 2,945 gallons in January
2013, 673 gallons more than in January 2012.
The increase can likely be attributed to the
Airport making a push to attracting flight
schools and transient pilots to the area.
Jet A also saw a sharp increase in sales in
January, with 8,073 gallons being pumped
during the month. New customers such as
Turbo Services and transient jet traffic are
contributing to the large increase in the
amount of Jet fuel being pumped.

Runway 9127 Rehabilitation
Data Collection and Design
In Progress
The Airport's consultant Hale Montes has
been working diligently to help Airport
Management prepare the design documents
to help secure construction grant funding to
rehabilitate Runway 9/27.
Engineers have recommended the complete
rehabilitation of Runway 9127 as it is rated to
be in very poor condition and hasn't received
any major repairs in over 60 years.
As part of the data collection, ground
penetrating radar and soil borings were
conducted in January to get a better picture of
the subsurface of the runway and acquire
data to include within the design documents.
As part of the design project, the FAA has
asked the Airport to complete an Alternative
Development Report to submit as part of the
design of the rehabilitation. This report will
summarize the data obtained during the data
collection phase and possible alternatives for
the project.
Many users have commented that they are
excited to see this project progressing and
have stated that they feel it is long overdue,
especially since this Runway is considered
the Primary runway for the Immokalee
Regional Airport.

2nd Annual Balloons Over Paradise Hot Air Balloon Festival
Right Around The Corner
The Seminole Casino Immokalee and Airport Officials have been busy planning the 2nd Annual
Balloons Over Paradise Hot Air Balloon Festival. Coming to the community of Immokalee April
20 -21, 2013, the festival will again mesmerize all in attendance with the sights and sounds of
Southern Florida's only hot air balloon festival.
The event this year has been moved from the Airport Viewing Area located at the Immokalee
Airport to the Seminole Rodeo Grounds located within Seminole Land. This location change
allows for an increase in the amount of usable space for the event.
The event will include live entertainment, daily sunrise balloon flights, static balloon displays, a
dog agility contest, great food, kite show, and much more. At this year's event, there will be
approximately 50 different hot air balloons in attendance.
More information on the event can be found at: www.seminolecasinoevents.com. For additional
information about flying into the Immokalee Regional Airport for the event, please contact the
Airport Operations staff at 239- 657 -9003 or via email at: ImmokaleeAirport@colliergov.net

advertises on one of the ramp -side Terminal
Building windows and has seen an increase in
users from the Airport as a result of the
advertisement.
Companies or individuals interested in our
advertising opportunities can contact Airport
Staff for more information.

General Aviation Terminal Building Pilot Lounge Upgrades
The Immokalee Regional Airport General Aviation Terminal Building
pilot lounge is receiving a much needed upgrade. Users have asked for
a more comfortable, quiet setting to rest in between flights and the
ability to flight plan without disrupting those resting.
Airport Maintenance Staff will be updating the flooring, moving the pilot
internet computers to the alcove in between the conference room and
operations office, updating the furniture, and relocating the AWOS
computer to the Airport Operations Office. The project is expected to be
finished by the end of March 2013.
General Reminders
• The vehicle speed limit on the GA ramp
and other areas is 15 miles per hour. The
speed within 20 feet of a parked aircraft
should be no higher than 5 miles per hour.
• Make sure your contact information is up-
to -date with Airport staff so we can keep
you updated with Airport news.
• The dumpster located near Gate D and the
t- hangars is for Airport t- hangar generated
waste only. Trash lids should be kept shut
when not in use.
• Access to the Taxiways and Runway
areas with ground vehicles requires
specific written permission from Airport
Management.
• Takeoffs and Landings on the turf areas of
the Airport are not authorized at anytime.
• Staff has noticed increased wear on our
fueling nozzles located at the 24 -hour self -
service tanks. Please ensure that the
fueling nozzles located at the fuel pumps
are not dragged along the pavement
during use. This shortens their useful life
and increases the possibility of a fuel spill.
• Please report any maintenance issues or
concerns to Airport Operations. This helps
to ensure all facilities are kept in good
working order.
T- Hangar Units Available!
The Immokalee Regional Airport currently
has one t- hangar unit available for lease. If
you or someone you know is interested,
please contact Airport Staff for more
information.
Maintenance Requests
If your hangar needs work or you notice
another issue on the Airport, do not hesitate
to contact Airport staff to have it addressed.
Maintenance requests can be called into the
office, emailed to the Airport email address,
or requested on a maintenance request
form.
