Weekly Operations Report SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION WEEKLY OPERATIONS REPORT August 9, 1996 MERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT: The EMS Department responded to three hundred and ninety-two (392) requests for 911 services. Med Flight One responded to twenty-one (21) of those requests. EMS participated in multiple community service events taking blood pressures and passing out medical brochures at libraries and businesses throughout the county. EMS provided medical support at the rugby tournament at Vineyards Elementary School and at the "youth night" at the Vineyards and Lowdermilk Parks. EMS was honored, at the Protective Services Week picnic, along with the local fire departments, and law enforcement agencies of Collier County, held at the Florida Sports Park last Sunday, August 4 . Captain Helen Ortega from North Battalion "B" Shift was honored as the Paramedic of the Year. All EMS units are now striving to complete at least two (2) community service events per month and the response with the public is SUPPORT SERVICES__DIYISION WEEKLY OPERATIONS REPORT August 9, 1996 EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT: The EMS Department responded to three hundred and ninety-two (392) requests for 911 services. Med Flight One responded to twenty-one (21) of those requests. EMS participated in multiple community service events taking blood pressures and passing out medical brochures at libraries and businesses throughout the county. EMS provided medical support at the rugby tournament at Vineyards Elementary School and at the "youth night" at the Vineyards and Lowdermilk Parks. EMS was honored,at the Protective Services Week picnic, along with the local fire departments, and law enforcement agencies of Collier County, held at the Florida Sports Park last Sunday, August 4 . Captain Helen Ortega from North Battalion "B" Shift was honored as the Paramedic of the Year. _ DATE July 31, 1996 EMERGENCY SERVICES: The EMS Department responded to three hundred and sixty (360) 911 requests for services. Med Flight One responded to nine (9) of those requests. Med Flight One went back in service on July 28, 1996 from their one hundred hour maintenance. EMS community service events consisted of blood pressure screenings at various locations throughout Collier County. EMS units did special events at youth night in the City of Naples at Seagate Park and one tour of the Government Center for the JTPA students. Construction of EMS Station #12 on Immokalee Road at the County Agriculture Center was started last Monday. A ground breaking ceremony is now being planned. JULY 24, 1996 EMERGENCY SERVICES: The EMS Department responded to three hundred and thirty-five (335) 911 requests for services. Med Flight One responded to seven (7) of those requests. Med Flight One went out of service on July 19, for their one hundred hour maintenance and hope to be back in service by the end of this week. EMS community events consisted of blood pressure screenings at various locations throughout Collier County. EMS units did special events at two Grace Community Schools, two tours at the Collier County Government Complex for JTPA students and did an informational event at the New Hope Ministries on Davis Boulevard. EMS also participated in the youth night at Golden Gate Community Park on July 20, with very positive feedback from the students and Tom 011iff who coordinated the event. EMS is now planning to send a unit to as many youth night functions as we can. EMS also did public information at numerous summer camps throughout Collier County during their health week. Collier County sent a competition team to Clin-Con (the annual State Emergency Medical Services Convention) in Orlando. They represented the county well placing 23rd in the State of Florida.
